Stay tuned to the Nice Hog! Newsletter for an announcement about when GOOD BOY, the latest sci-fi/horror short from writer/director JOSEPH GENUA makes its online debut.
On November 7 MUSIC FOR GAZA SOUP KITCHEN, a benefit compilation album was released. The collection was curated by filmmaker and musician Dylan Mars Greenberg, and featured new recordings and rarities from indie artists including Of Montreal, A Place to Bury Strangers, Theophobia, Lex Walton and the Lampreys, Headfooter, Prairie Princess and many more. The cover art was made by Nice Hog’s own SG Egan, and features some characters found in our Comicz Corner. Of the project, Greenberg had the following to say:
“I really wanted to find a way to make a material difference in a really scary bad time. I don’t have a lot of money of my own, but one thing I am good at is bringing artists together to collectively do something to raise money. I’ve been doing that for years with an event I run to raise money for my friend Christine. So, we all chip in a song, we’re donating a piece of art and choosing to profit a little bit less off it for a while, and now we’re able to collectively make a bigger difference and help people like Gaza Soup Kitchen who are out there bringing people food, making a material difference in people’s lives.”

PREDATOR: BADLANDS delivers as the follow-up to the beloved PREY! This latest iteration of the franchise has done well to carve out a unique identity and aesthetic.
Lynne Ramsey’s DIE MY LOVE is a feel bad romp with Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattison both having a lot of fun chewing scenery. MUBI has done it again, folks.
LITTLE AMELIE OR THE CHARACTER OF RAIN appears to be another animated masterpiece, with no connection to Amelie of AMELIE fame.
